Top Ten Books I’d Give To Readers Who’ve Never Tried Fantasy

Hello! WELCOME TO TOP TEN TUESDAY ๐Ÿ™‚ This is a weekly meme featured on the amazingย  The Broke and Bookish. This week we have:

ย TOP TEN BOOKS I’D GIVE TO READERS WHO HAVE NEVER READ FANTASY

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater โ€“ The feels with this series . . . THE FEELS. This is the first book I’d slap onto the pile for Fantasy.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor โ€“ *chants* Karou & Akiva, Karou & Akiva *chants* On top of having one of the cutest romances, this is probably one of the most original stories I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo โ€“ย I’m anal about starting a series in order, so of course Shadow & Bone will be on the list, but the one I really want to slap on there is Siege & Storm (book 2) ๐Ÿ˜‰

Red Rising by Pierce Brown โ€“ *screeches: MUUUUSSTTT REEAADDD!!!* Enough said?

Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning โ€“ *bows down to author* This is a series where each book is as good as the one before.

Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers โ€“ This is a good book to start when reading Fantasy. It has a little bit of romance, plot, and good characters ๐Ÿ˜€

Fallen by Lauren Kate โ€“ Fallen gripped me from the first page and I couldn’t wait to unlock it’s mysteries. And who can ignore a cover like that? ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan โ€“ This is an old favorite filled with suspense, action and humor.

Angelfall by Susan Ee โ€“ *clutches heart* Oh the fiery angst . . . so worth the read!

First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones โ€“ *giggles* I laugh just thinking about this book! So funny and even has a steamy side *waggles brows*

Honorable Mentions: The Mortal Instruments series, Guild Hunter series, Experiment in Terror series, Divergent series, and so many more. *sighs* So many books and so little time ๐Ÿ˜‰

WHAT BOOKS AND/OR GENRE WOULD YOU RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND? HAVE YOU READ ANY OF THESE? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? ARE THERE ANY OTHER BOOKS YOU’D PUT ON THIS LIST? I’D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS!
